Pastor Jude, Suzi, Kayla & Jared extend heartfelt thanks for the amazing generosity, love and kindness you showed to our family last Sunday!  What an awesome day and how blessed we feel to be honored to serve as your Pastors!  Words cannot express how much we appreciate all you did for us but we want you to know we love you all and think “YOU’RE THE BEST!”    Thank you!!!

Following, you will find several events & announcements that will be of interest to you.  Mark your calendars & plan to join us as often as you are able!  We are thrilled at how God is blessing our church with wonderful people and we are eager to get together with you!

> Thanksgiving Baskets:

  • All Thanksgiving baskets have been accounted for.  Please arrive between 9am & 12noon on November 21st if you will be picking up a basket.  Please bring a photo ID for proof of residency.
  • If you are able to donate any items, please see Ron Murray or feel free to put any monetary donations into a tithe envelope, titled Thanksgiving donation. Monetary donations can also be made via PayPal using the button on edgemerecog.org .
  • PLEASE make sure if you are donating items, that these items are NOT expired!! We cannot give these out, and if someone gets sick from expired food which we have given them, we will be held responsible.  Thank you!!!

> Christmas Dinner:

  • On Sunday, December 20th at 6:00pm we will be meeting at Del Capri on German Hill Road to celebrate Christmas!  Make your plans now to join us!  The cost per person is $15  – This includes a full buffet, drinks & fun!  Our special guest for the dinner is Ginger Millerman.
  • Log onto our website to hear her music and read her biography!  This is a night you won’t want to miss out on!

> Choir Rehearsal:

  • Just a brief reminder that our rehearsal is THIS TUESDAY, Nov. 10th at 6:30pm. See you then!
  • Christmas Caroling & Rehearsal will be on Tuesday, December 1st.

> Men of Vision:

  • On December 12th, we will be having a Men of Vision ‘Believe it or Not’ Museum along with breakfast.  We are asking all men to look around the house to find a special item that is particularly old or has a story/meaning behind it.  Think of an old gun that your granddaddy gave you when you were a boy…anything interesting that dates back that you would like to share.

> AMF Family Bowling Night

  • In celebration of the Children’s Christmas Musical, a family bowling night has been planned for December 6th from 6-8pm.  The cost is $10 per person.  This is for the entire church body- not just those involved in the musical, so plan to come out for a fun time together! Please sign up at the back foyer and turn in a $5 deposit per person by November 15th.

> Youth Ministry News:

  • The date for Godchicks this month is Friday, Nov. 20th at 7:30 p.m.  Mark your calendars now!
  • Mary Kay Fundraiser – The youth department is hosting a Mary Kay party to help them get to Winterfest this year.   All are invited to attend – Saturday, November 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall!   Come and buy some goodies for yourself or for Christmas gifts and in the process you’ll be helping us raise money to get to Ocean City Winterfest in February!    Thank you & we hope you can make it!
  • Turkey Bowling is coming on Tuesday, November 24 th!  Agape House will be held on Tuesday for the week of Thanksgiving.
  • Winterfest will be here soon!  Join us February 5th – 7th, 2010 for a weekend of fun & spiritual growth in Ocean City, MD.  The cost is $125 per person.   Start planning now!

> Children’s Ministry:

  • Kids Fest is coming up!  Sign up now for a fun & exciting weekend for children ages 6-12.  This event will be held in Ocean City, MD and is $100 a person.  Bowl-a-Thon Fund Raiser information will be handed out today outside of Children’s Church.

> Senior Adults:

  • One of the highlights of the fall is the annual State Senior Adult Day.  It will be held Saturday, November 14th at Heritage Community Church of God.  A full day is planned and the cost is only $10 per person, which includes registration, continental breakfast and lunch.

The Pruitt Family thanks you for the prayers, flowers, calls, and visits to the funeral home at the passing of Alene.  Thank you to the kitchen committee for the delicious meal prepared and served following the service.  Thank you Suzi Nowak & Mallory Anthony for the beautiful, meaningful songs, and to Pastor Jude & Pastor Emeritus Hancock for their heartfelt comments.
